Live Marine Resting L-strain Rotifer Cysts

These resting rotifer cysts are similar to the dormant cyst stage of artemia cysts and suitable for setting up a new uncontaminated culture. The resting cysts are harvested from a commercial culture that has been conditioned to produce dormant cyst. The cysts are supplied in a small vial and long term storage is possible in the freezer. Both freshwater and marine rotifer variants are offered. N.B. for other rotifer options including starter cultures research and public aquarium customers need to login.

These live marine rotifers are approx. 1/3rd of the size of newly hatched brineshrimp and have been reared on live phytoplankton for maximum nutritional value. These rotifers are harvested prior to shipping and may be stored in the fridge and then decanted to feed to your fry.
